A new global day of giving & unity in response to COVID-19

MAY 5, 2020

Our doors are closed and our seats are empty, but our mission is not cancelled. With your support, we continue to bring joy & enrichment through the arts!

What is #GivingTuesdayNow?

#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that was created as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. It's intended to mobilize people all over the world to give to the organizations they care about in their communities.

The Importance of the Arts

Art can be incredibly powerful – it calms, uplifts, enriches, and heals. It creates opportunities for the human connection we're all craving, as well as mental escape. That’s why in times like these, it’s important to keep the arts alive!

What We're Doing

To lift spirits and continue creating arts opportunities, our team is working behind the scenes to bring our programs, events, and entertainment to you digitally! For example:

  • Sharing fun educational content that supplements school curriculums

  • Hosting virtual Clark Gallery exhibits (Facebook)

  • #HoneywellHighlights & #EaglesHighlights - bringing our past and future performers to your living room! (Facebook)

  • We recently streamed Spring Break Bash LIVE with art projects for families to enjoy. More virtual events are in our future!

  • Leading Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) conversations (Facebook)

  • And much more, with new ideas every day!

Additionally, Eugenia's Restaurant is offering:

Eagles Theatre is offering:

We're also...

  • Making much-needed repairs and improvements at our properties

  • Scheduling future concerts and events with great hope and anticipation

  • Planning strategies to safely reopen (we miss you!)

What Your Donation Supports

With our doors closed, your support is more important than ever! Your contribution enables us to not only uplift the communities we serve during this difficult time, but also to continue bringing joy and enrichment through the arts for years to come.

A few examples of the Honeywell Foundation's ongoing work:*

Some things are on hold, but we hope will return in the future

  • Operation of 6 venues: the Honeywell Center, Eagles Theatre, 13-24 Drive In, Charley Creek Gardens, Dr. Ford Historic Home, and Honeywell House

  • Through our Educational Outreach Program, we provide 50,000+ arts-infused educational interactions with students each year

  • Through our Senior Outreach Program, we bring live music experiences into senior living communities

  • Events and festivals such as ArtsFest, Wabass, Lunch & Learns, dining events and more

  • We support local/regional artists in the Clark Gallery

  • Collaboration with local schools, businesses, and organizations to accomplish great things in our community and region

  • And much more!

None of this would be possible without YOU.

Your support during this time will help us continue our mission of providing artistic, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities for all  - not only now, but for years to come.
