Meet Our Donors: MPS Egg Farms Gives Back
As a nonprofit arts organization, the Honeywell Foundation's work is made possible by the generosity of our donors. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for all that they do, so as a small way of giving back, each quarter we highlight these individuals, companies, and organizations making a difference in their community.

Meet MPS Egg Farms
MPS Egg Farms (formerly Midwest Poultry Services) is a six-generation family-owned and operated egg production company that started in North Manchester, Indiana in 1875. They have since grown into one of the biggest egg producers in the state of Indiana and operate six farms across the United States: Indiana (3), Illinois (1), and most recently Texas (2). They are dedicated to ongoing food safety, animal welfare and exceptional customer service.
The Latest & Greatest

MPS certainly has no shortage of things going on. Our team chatted with Sam Krouse, Vice President of Business Development to get the coop – er, scoop! 🐔 Their biggest news: rebranding, new headquarters, serving the community during COVID-19, oh - and 1 MILLION new hens…
MPS changed their name from Midwest Poultry Services to MPS Egg Farms in 2019 to reflect their expanding geographic footprint. They celebrated last February with a ribbon cutting event at their new, state-of-the-art, 22,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters built on the bank of the Eel River in North Manchester, where the company got its roots. Their former headquarters had been in Mentone, Indiana, and “coming home” was important to the Krouse, Grant and Strauss families. Late April, MPS announced more big news – they purchased Feather Crest Farms, a Texas-based egg producer with two farms in Kurten and Center, Texas. This acquisition allows MPS Egg Farms to add about 1 million hens to their operation, for a total of 11 million hens – producing about 9.35 million eggs a day. Wow! “As we move forward, MPS Egg Farms will continue to invest in the people, processes, and technology that have led to our success, while maintaining our commitment to food safety, animal welfare, and exceptional customer service.” (mpseggfarms.com)

MPS has always been committed to meeting the needs of their communities, so it may not surprise you to hear that, in addition to working overtime to meet market demands created by COVID-19 (learn more), they are also generously assisting North Manchester families during the pandemic. Every child who picks up a weekly meal box from Manchester Community Schools receives one dozen eggs from MPS Egg Farms (1 dozen per family per week at each distribution site). This program is not limited by income, so all children ages 1-18 are eligible to receive a meal box and eggs.

“We know that this is a challenging time for families that have extra mouths to feed, and we hope that a dozen eggs will help ease the burden.” (Facebook)
Thank you for serving our communities so well, MPS!
Why Give to the Honeywell Foundation?
MPS Egg Farms is a faithful donor of the Honeywell Foundation. We are thankful for their sponsorship of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra each year!
“It’s a wonderful thing to have the arts in communities like ours, and MPS is proud to be able to support the Manchester Symphony.”
