Introducing VirtuART & VirtuACT Summer Camps! 🎨ðŸŽ
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Honeywell Foundation will be unable to host our traditional summer camps; however, we have some exciting virtual opportunities for campers to connect, engage, and enjoy the arts this summer.
VPA Summer Art Camp will be offered in the form of VirtuART Camp. This immersive online camp experience will take place daily from June 8-12. Campers will log on to learn various visual art mediums including bookmaking, art journaling, printmaking, watercolor, and more. Instructors include artistic director and nationally-known jewelry maker and author Candie Cooper, along with educator and paper artist Hannah Burnworth, and watercolor artist and educator Lana Knowles. All art supplies needed for the camp projects will be provided in a Art Supply Box which will be picked up at the Honeywell Center the week before camp begins (shipping is available). Campers can show off their completed projects and share ideas on the Honeywell Foundation Facebook Group VirtuART.

In place of our full-scale musical summer theatre camp that was scheduled for June, VPA Summer Theatre Camp is now VirtuACT Camp. This interactive camp, which will take place online from July 6-17 for 7th-12th graders and July 13-24 for 3rd-6th graders, will give campers the chance to take a deep dive into all facets of theatre including acting, improv, monologues, stagecraft, and more. Students will receive an Actor's Toolkit the week before camp which will include scripts, worksheets, props and other information needed to participate in VirtuACT Camp. Campers can engage and share ideas on the Honeywell Foundation Facebook Group VirtuACT.
We are keeping the low $60 early bird rate as the set price for both camps. Visit HoneywellFoundation.org/vpa to register today!
